I had the honor and privilege to listen to Linda Sarsour l, a Pakistanian women that advocates for her Muslim brothers and sisters, as well as all other marginalized groups. She spoke to us about the issues facing America, and opened my eyes to the other injustices faced by groups that we rarely think about. I always had my attention on injustices my black community faced; however, going to this event made me aware that we aren’t the only marginalized group. She spoke about how we should advocate for each other and get out of the silent majority. Her speech was very poweful, for it made me want to do more in the community to see a change. There are many things needed to be fixed in our world, and Linda vividly stated many.
